| lol..My essay^^ OJ Simpson Abstract On June 12, 1994 his ex wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman were found dead outside Brown’s condominium in Los Angeles California. O. J Simpson was soon charged with their murders. He was one of the most famous running backs in American football history. Evidence found at the scene led police to believe that Simpson might be the killer. The evidences that the polices got were DNA, knife, shoes, gloves, and the videotape. DNA analysis of the blood found in, and near Simpson’s Bronco revealed traces of Simpson’s, Nicole’s, and Ronald Goldman’s blood. DNA analysis of bloody socks found in Simpson’s bedroom showed the blood to be Nicole’s. A left-handed glove was found outside the house of Nicole, and the right-handed glove was found fro O.J Simpson’s estate. Prosecution believed the killings were done with a knife: O.J. Simpson had purchased a knife prior the murders, but the weapon has yet to be recovered. The FBI shoe print specialist testified that the murder scene shoe prints were left by size 12 shoes. The defense and the prosecution have been used videotape. The defense used the video of Simpson handcuffed as soon as he returned from Chicago. The jury consisted of 8 blacks, 2 Hispanics, 1 half-Caucasian, half Native American, and 1 Caucasian female. The jury was assembled and given cautionary instructions by Judge Ito. They were told that the trial would begin on January 4, and that they could expect to be sequestered for the duration of the several-month trial. The O.J Simpson trial began on January, 1995. With the prosecutorial team arguing that Simpson killed his ex wife in a jealous rage. They also provided evidence of why they believed O.J killed her. They asked O.J to put on the glove. The glove was too tight for him and the defense believed that if the glove doesn’t fit, he is not the killer. Johnnie Cochran said "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." He was the defense of O.J. The defense team controlled this case, they challenged every single piece of evidence the prosecution entered. The jury have been sitting silent for eight months. They stayed in the hotel. Now it will be the jury's turn to speak and to decide the fate of O. J. Simpson. October 3, 1995,the O.J. Simpson jury, after deliberating less than a day, told Judge Lance Ito Monday afternoon that they had reached a verdict. And Ito immediately sealed the verdict, turned it over to the court's bailiff and sent everyone home for the night. The jury returned a verdict of “not guilty”. I personally felt there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial but OJ was found NOT GUILTY by a duly established jury of his peers. Science proved that OJ is guilty. DNA does not lie. The trial was a circus and jurists were biased in O.J Simpson‘s favor. That is the reason he was acquitted. The prosecution failed to present sufficient evidence to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Many people think the police blew the case by presenting evidence that appeared planted or tampered with. The prosecution never laid out a reasonable theory of the case. It was as if they believed that the blood evidence alone would make this a slam-dunk case, and how the crime happened didn't matter. However, when the jury threw out the blood evidence because they believed that at least some was planted by "persons unknown" (police), the case fell apart. The prosecution would've done well to pretend that there was no blood evidence, and prosecuted it as a traditional case based on circumstances, motive, etc
